How you learned to seek closeness — and how that meets your match’s pattern.
The Yuán Circle.
The framework.
Where it comes from.
Family-of-Origin work is not new. Family therapists have used the lens since the 1970s to help couples understand why they fight the way they fight, and why the same argument keeps returning. What was missing was a version built for the front end of a relationship — a way to profile a single person before the fights, so the match is right in the first place.
Annie built the practice’s version of the tool over more than a decade of working with Singapore singles. It is structured, repeatable, and specific to the Southeast Asian context — where in-laws, filial expectation, and multi-generational households sit at the centre of most marriages.
Six questions we ask,
before we ever introduce you.
What an argument looked like in your household, and what shape yours takes now.
Some homes name emotion easily. Others don’t. Neither is wrong; both are known.
Caretaker, achiever, peacemaker. The part you played as a child, still played as an adult.
What you inherited about it — safe, generous, careful, wasteful. Surfaced on purpose.
Filial duty, festivals, in-laws. The family you marry is the family you join.
How a profile is built.
- 01
A private consultation
Thirty minutes with Annie. Complimentary. You leave with a clearer picture of what you are actually looking for — not the version you would put on a dating profile.
- 02
A structured profiling session
About one hour. Eight core questions covering experiences and memories from before age 10 — the material from which most adult relationship patterns are built. Answered honestly, the profiling reaches roughly 80% accuracy. Answered guardedly, it does not.
- 03
Coaching, where useful
Some profiles reveal gaps — a pattern to work through, a story to loosen — before matching would be productive. Coaching is offered when it would genuinely help, and never as a soft sell.
- 04
The overlay
Only when a profile is clear do we look for candidate matches. Two profiles are read together, held against one another dimension by dimension, and only the ones that hold up are proposed.
The framework is a tool. It only works if the person sitting across the table brings themselves — not the version they think they should be. What is said in the room stays in the room. Everything is strictly confidential; terms & conditions apply for all services rendered.
Start with the profile.
Whether or not you’re ready to be matched.
